Work will begin on Hohlstraße in the Oberstein neighborhood. Work will take place here from October 5 to 10, 2026, in the sections between the intersections with Alte Treibe and Breslauer Straße, as well as between the lower intersection with An der Muhl and the entrance to the Bundeswehr property. Since the work can only be carried out under a full road closure, through traffic in the lower section will be diverted via Jahnstraße and Breslauer Straße; in the upper section, An der Muhl will remain accessible via the lower intersection. The section between Breslauer Straße and An der Muhl will also be renovated; however, the start date for this work has yet to be determined.
From October 20 through 23, milling and paving work will take place on Zwischen Wasser Street in the Weierbach neighborhood, specifically on the section between the Globus beverage store and the roundabout heading toward the Globus supermarket. Traffic will be rerouted via the B 41 and the L 160/B 270 roundabout. The Globus beverage store and gas station will remain accessible via the Kaufacker roundabout.
Renovation work is also still underway on Nahestraße in the Oberstein neighborhood, though the start date for this project has not yet been set either.
The city administration asks residents and road users for their understanding for the inconvenience caused by the work.
