After the successful start to this year's Citymood after-work series, visitors can already look forward to the next highlight: on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Schleiferplatz will once again be transformed into a popular meeting place for colleagues, friends and anyone who wants to enjoy the summer evening in a relaxed atmosphere from 5 pm.
This time, the "Happy Tones" will provide the right musical atmosphere with rousing party rock covers and plenty of good humor. Under the motto - summer, music and an after-work atmosphere: together with cool drinks, delicious cocktails and summery flair, the evening once again promises the best entertainment in the middle of the city center.
The after-work events have established themselves as a permanent fixture in the event calendar over the past two years. In cooperation with the Idar-Oberstein city marketing association, the city's business development department regularly creates special evenings with a variety of music styles - from regional bands to smaller live acts - and a unique atmosphere on Schleiferplatz.
"People look forward to coming back to the city center when there is something attractive to offer them. This has been shown by the positive feedback from our events," says the city's business development department. "Our after-work events clearly show how great the desire is for social encounters, music and shared experiences in the city center," continues the business development agency. In 2026, the Citymood event series will once again offer numerous reasons to visit the city center. The events invite people to wind down after work together, make new contacts and enjoy the special flair on Schleiferplatz, while also making an important contribution to revitalizing the city centre and creating space for shared experiences and unforgettable summer evenings.
