The Blue Note jazz and blues association is entering the 2026 event year with a varied and top-class concert program. During a visit to the Stadthaus, Chairman Michael Weber and his deputy Kai Braunschedel presented the planned highlights to Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf. Music lovers can look forward to a total of seven concerts with internationally renowned artists. The concert season has already got off to a successful start with a performance by the Israeli jazz combo Sandia at the Parkhotel.
"This year, we have once again succeeded in putting together a varied program with outstanding artists," emphasized Michael Weber. In addition to tried-and-tested formats such as the popular "Club Time", the atmospheric "Jazz Matinee" and the energetic "Blues Night Special", the association continues to rely on strong collaborations - including with the city of Idar-Oberstein and other regional organizers - and brings the concerts to unusual venues.
Mayor Frank Frühauf was impressed by the association's commitment: "Blue Note has enriched the cultural scene in our region in a special way for years. This year's program is once again proof of the high quality and passion with which they work here." His special thanks went to the voluntary commitment of the board and all members.

- May 8, 8 p.m.: Blues night with Big Monti Amundson (USA), Bürgerhaus Vollmersbach
- May 31, 11 a.m.: Jazz matinee with Joscho Stephan (Germany), Fuchs nursery, Idar-Oberstein
- July 4, 8 p.m.: Club Time with Julian Sas (Netherlands), Messe Idar-Oberstein
- October 3, 8 pm: "The Lady sings the Blues" with Sari Schorr (USA), Stadthalle Birkenfeld
- November 7, 7 pm: Blues Night Special with Elise Frank (France) and Hot'n Nasty (Germany), Messe Idar-Oberstein
- November 27, 8 p.m.: Jazz live with David Helbock's Random / Control Trio (Austria), Göttenbach-Aula Idar-Oberstein
With this diverse line-up, Blue Note once again underlines its claim to bring music of the highest quality to the region and at the same time appeal to a broad audience.
