  • Social worker (m/f/d) / social education worker (m/f/d) for the area of responsibility of the foster care service with a focus on kinship care This is a permanent part-time position with 19.5 hours per week.

    The area of responsibility of the foster care service with a focus on kinship care includes the following tasks:

    • Suitability test of possible foster homes
    • Support and advice for foster homes
    • Support and care for foster children - assistance planning in the context of initial and ongoing foster care relationships
    • Support and advice with regard to the family of origin, in particular the exercise of rights of access
    • Initiation and planning of additional assistance with independent youth welfare organizations
    • Advice and opinions in the context of family court proceedings
    • Promotion and organization of exchange and further training for caregivers

    Prerequisites:

    • Degree as Diplom-Sozialarbeiter (m/f/d) / Diplom-Sozialpädagoge (m/f/d) (FH) with state recognition or a comparable Bachelor's degree
    • Determination and willingness to take responsibility
    • Organizational and team skills
    • Class "B" driver's license and willingness to use a private car for business purposes

    You are a resilient, committed and efficient personality with the ability to work cooperatively and with dedication in the team of the municipal youth welfare office. Youth Welfare Office. You demonstrate a constant sense of responsibility, communication skills, the ability to approach the target group, gain their acceptance and help solve their problems. Flexible working hours and the willingness to work overtime if necessary are a matter of course for you. Depending on qualifications and fulfillment of the requirements, the position will be classified in pay group S 12 of the pay scale for employees in the social and educational service (TVöD-SuE).

  • two part-time employees (m/f/d) in the cleaning and housekeeping service with an average weekly working time of 20 hours.

    Relevant work experience and professional qualifications are desirable, but not a prerequisite for employment. As flexibility is expected in terms of location and working hours, it is an advantage to have a class B driving license and your own car.

    These are two permanent part-time positions with an average weekly working time of 20 hours. The employment relationship is based on the collective agreement of the public service (TVöD) with the usual social benefits in the public service. The classification is in pay group 1 TVöD.

  • Head (m/f/d) of customer service for water and wastewater

    The main job contents include in particular

    • Tariff and customer management for water supply and wastewater disposal
    • Annual billing, 2-monthly billing for large consumers
    • Meter, order and customer management
    • House connections (existing customers, new buildings, developments)
    • general administrative activities - property matters

    To fill this position, we are looking for a committed, customer-oriented person who ideally has specialist knowledge of the utilities industry and of administrative and statutory law. You should be familiar with new information and communication technologies, especially Office applications. In addition to an open, friendly and team-oriented manner, the field of work requires a prudent, conscientious and forward-looking approach, commitment and reliability.

    The prerequisite for filling the position is:

    • Preferably a completed apprenticeship as an administrative assistant (m/f/d) or a successfully completed administrative course I (formerly employee course I) alternatively
    • completed at least three years of commercial vocational training


    This is a permanent full-time position, which is generally suitable for part-time work, but is to be filled on a full-time basis. The employment relationship is based on the collective agreement of the public service (TVöD) with the usual social benefits in the public service. Depending on qualifications and fulfillment of personal requirements, the position will be classified according to pay group 9a TVöD.

  • Apprenticeship administrative assistant (m/f/d)

    As an administrative assistant (m/f/d), a wide range of fields of activity are open to you at the city of Idar-Oberstein. Whether in the main office, the treasury, the building department, the youth welfare office or the public order office, you will get to know the challenging tasks of an administrative assistant (m/f/d) during your training.

    Your tasks:

    Anyone who enjoys working in an office, finds files, legal texts, figures and statistics exciting and who can imagine an interesting workplace with important tasks when they hear the term "general administration" is ideally suited to training as an administrative assistant (m/f/d), specializing in local administration. Training content includes private law, municipal law, administrative business management, human resources, office communication (IT) and administrative procedures.

    Your profile:

    - The prerequisite for the apprenticeship is a good secondary school leaving certificate

    - Great affinity for legal issues, independence, systematic and structured work are also required
