The building management team is looking for a construction technician (m/f/d) specializing in structural engineering to support the diverse tasks in building construction.
The City of Idar-Oberstein's building management department looks after all municipal properties with regard to necessary new buildings and conversions. The building management department is also responsible for the structural maintenance of buildings and the management of technical facilities.
The scope includes schools, day-care centers, school sports and multi-purpose halls, fire stations, administration buildings, city library, parking garages, public toilets, city theater, exhibition hall, various other buildings such as the train station Idar-Oberstein and also some historic buildings such as the castle Oberstein.
The range of tasks is very diverse and varied. The Idar-Oberstein municipal sewage company operates an approx. 200 km long sewage network with around 50 special structures, such as rainwater relief systems and pumping stations, as well as three sewage treatment plants with a total connection capacity for around 70,000 population equivalents.
The central tasks include in particular
- Independent monitoring, documentation and assessment of wastewater treatment
- Independent operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical plant components in wastewater technology
