Mayor Frank Frühauf and the city’s economic development agency invite entrepreneurs and anyone interested to an exciting presentation on the topic of innovation. On Friday, November 6, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., Aprajita Jain, Chief Brand & Creative Marketing Evangelist at Google, will give a presentation titled “Invitation to Innovation: Silicon Valley Principles,” she will provide exclusive insights into how proven innovation methods from Silicon Valley can be directly applied to one’s own company. The focus will be on practical principles such as radical 10x thinking, iterative development processes, and a clear, value-driven corporate mission.
For German small and medium-sized businesses, this presentation is a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the tools of the future. The Google executive, who grew up in Idar-Oberstein, does not limit her talk to pure theory; instead, participants gain concrete insights into how global brands are built, how entrepreneurial courage drives growth, and how creativity and technology intertwine to ensure relevance even in a highly competitive environment.
Participants will take away concrete ideas to help them break out of their ruts, explore new avenues in product and brand development, and strategically strengthen their own innovative capabilities. In addition, they can use this opportunity to gain fresh perspectives and engage in direct dialogue.
Aprajita Jain holds a degree in Business Administration from Saarland University and has also attended the MBA Marketing curriculum at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Over the course of her now 21-year Google career, she initially focused on various performance marketing solutions - including search, dynamic remarketing, prospecting and mobile solutions for the largest advertisers in the retail and travel sectors - before discovering her passion for branding ten years ago. Jain develops a deep understanding of her clients' business challenges and designs customized solutions that are inspiring, educational and immediately actionable to transform businesses.
- Participation is free, but we ask that you register by Tuesday, November 2, 2026, by emailing wirtschaftsfoerderung@idar-oberstein.de.
