The BFD positions in the daycare centers focus on supporting the pedagogical staff in the education, upbringing and care of the children. In addition, the day-to-day running of the daycare center is accompanied by activities such as helping with group and individual activities, developing creative and play activities, preparing, supervising and accompanying the children during meals and on excursions, sleep watch, bus duty and helping to organize activities to promote physical activity. One position is available in each of the daycare centers Enzweiler, Göttschied, Nahbollenbach, Regulshausen and Weierbach as well as in the Waldkita.
Schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 are looked after in the afternoons at the municipal play and learning center. The tasks of the federal volunteers include supporting the educational staff in the areas of leisure activities, homework supervision, vacation activities and housekeeping.
