So it's high time to present the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office's summer holiday program. Sabine Moser and Sebastian Herzig, the responsible employees of the youth welfare office, have now presented it to Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf.
The current program booklet, as always designed by Bärbel Busch from Schwollen, contains 99 one-day or multi-day offers from the categories of sport, music and dance, creativity as well as excursions and activities. The offers are aimed at children and young people aged 6 to 18. "They include tried and tested activities, but also new program items such as a week-long swimming course," explains Sebastian Herzig. He is also pleased that a new generation has now arrived at the Nahbollenbach bike park to continue the program.
"In addition to the traditional soccer camp in Haag, there is also a girls' soccer summer camp in Algenrodt for the first time this year," adds Sabine Moser. There are also a number of activities aimed specifically at girls. Apart from that, the vacation program once again offers a colourful range of activities that invite you to try out new things and gain exciting experiences.
Mayor Frühauf is proud of this extensive vacation program, which is unparalleled in the wider area. "I would like to thank the staff of the Youth Welfare Office and the 40 or so cooperation partners for their commitment. They ensure that our children and young people have a wonderful and varied vacation time." Mayor Frühauf also thanked the sponsors of the vacation program - the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Education, Kreissparkasse Birkenfeld and the Bürkle Foundation - for their valuable support.
The program booklet will be distributed to all elementary school and the 5th and 6th grades of secondary schools and can be downloaded here. The online platform with the program and registration can be found at https://idar-oberstein.ferienprogramm-online.de.
