The event is part of the nationwide prevention programme "HaLT (Hart am LimiT)" and is organized in cooperation with the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office and the addiction prevention office of Caritas Rhein-Hunsrück-Nahe e.V.. The aim is to show young people in a positive and realistic way that intense experiences and a good mood are also possible without alcohol.
The evening will focus on an authentic rave atmosphere with music by DJ Pepe Longsleeve, who will create the right atmosphere with a varied mix of current charts, electronic beats and popular party hits. With his energetic music, he creates a real club feeling on the dance floor and invites young people to party and dance together. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be available at the mocktail bar, while the chill-out area is the perfect place to relax. The event is complemented by several voluntary hands-on stations such as an alcohol quiz, where young people can playfully test their knowledge on the subject of alcohol. A special element of the evening is the "Sober Pass". Anyone who visits all the stations and collects a stamp will receive a free mocktail at the bar.
The aim of the Sober Rave is for young people to experience a cool club night - with lots of fun, good music and a real party atmosphere - but without any alcohol. Entry to the event is free of charge.
