Scissors, paper, glue, and plenty of imagination: After summer break, the Idar-Oberstein City Library once again invites all young craft enthusiasts to its popular “Creative Kids” event series. Children ages five and up can look forward to a variety of craft afternoons where they’ll have lots of fun using their creativity to make, design, and decorate seasonal projects.
Over the course of six sessions, participants will create imaginative works of art—from colorful worlds made of paper plates to glowing fairy and dragon lanterns, and winter-themed good-luck charms. The craft sessions begin at 3:00 p.m. each day and will take place on the following Fridays:
- August 14, 2026: Worlds of Paper Plates
- September 25, 2026: Fairy and Dragon Lights
- October 23, 2026: Autumn Magic at the Window
- November 20, 2026: Christmas cards
- December 18, 2026: Good Luck Charms
- January 22, 2027: Winter Wonderland
