Under bright sunshine, the Enzweiler “Edelsteinchen” daycare center celebrated its 50th anniversary. Many guests, both young and old, came to celebrate this special day together. Mayor Frank Frühauf presented a certificate during the celebration. He emphasized how pleased he was to have been invited, praised the children’s wonderful performance, and thanked the entire daycare team for their dedicated work.
For the children, there was a wide variety of play stations both outdoors and in the group rooms, which kept them excited all day long. The first generation of children at the daycare center provided a spontaneous contribution: They reenacted a Carnival photo from years past—a great idea that brought back many memories. The daycare center’s very first cleaning staff member was also there that day and was delighted to be part of the anniversary celebration. Encounters like these made it clear just how many people have shaped the history of the Enzweiler Daycare Center.
There was plenty of food and drink to enjoy: From delicious cake to fresh grilled food and french fries, there was something for every taste. A children’s songwriter created a lively atmosphere with his music and invited young and old alike to sing along and join in. Another highlight was the balloon release, as the balloons soared into the sky in a riot of colors. The children are now excited to see which balloon will be found first, since the first balloons to be found will earn the daycare children a prize.
Fire Station 1 and the ice cream truck provided a great way to cool off. During the festival and the preparations, all the parents—especially the parents’ committee—had their hands full and provided active support in many areas. The daycare team would like to express its heartfelt thanks to them, as well as to all the supporters and sponsors who helped make this day a success.

“In the end, what remains is the memory of a thoroughly successful celebration with happy children, many wonderful encounters, and a wonderful sense of community. An anniversary that will stay with us for a long time to come.”
