After three successful events, the popular after-work event in Idar at Schleiferplatz will kick off its fourth edition on September 3, 2026, starting at 5 p.m. As a highlight and the perfect finale before the winter break, a very special event awaits you: Just like last year, DJ KFR—aka Flo Reidenbach, a well-known DJ from the region—will set the right musical mood.

For the fourth time this year, the Citymood event series once again offers plenty of reasons to visit downtown. Unwind on a summer evening—that’s what the After Work Event has to offer, featuring wines from Weinkonzept Stüber, cocktails from Eckstein and the Sinner & Saints Bar, and grilled dishes from Edeka Lorenz. Of course, the Schleiferplatz-based restaurants Brasserie and Brauhaus will also be there again with their culinary offerings.

Over the past two years, these after-work events have become a staple on the event calendar. In cooperation with the Idar-Oberstein City Marketing Association, the city’s economic development office regularly organizes special evenings featuring a variety of musical genres—from regional bands to smaller live acts—and a unique atmosphere on Schleiferplatz.
