Small-Town Madness with City Idiots
Things always get turbulent when Rainer Rudloff reads from literary works—especially when it comes to the sensitivities of neighbors. Was the world invented in cities? Then let the madmen stay there with their madness. But they don’t; instead, weary of city life, they flood into the villages surrounding the metropolises. Gnarled characters, simmering conflicts—young versus old, or perhaps winners versus losers? All of this is portrayed in an impressive literary manner in the two works *Altes Land* by Dörte Hansen and *Unterleuten* by Juli Zeh. And presented by Rainer Rudloff in an intense, incisive, and witty manner.
