There is great joy at the Realschule plus Idar-Oberstein: the KoA class (KoA = Keine(r) ohne Abschluss) has received excellent digital equipment thanks to generous support from various foundations, including the Harald Fissler Foundation. Joachim Busch, a representative of the foundation, was instrumental in providing the support.
The 'KoA' project class is aimed at pupils who have struggled in their school career and are at risk of leaving school without a qualification. The aim of the class is to support the young people individually, enable them to graduate and prepare them specifically for a professional or academic future. In addition to teaching technical content and digital education, the main focus is on democracy education, a sense of responsibility and independence, as well as training them to become responsible citizens. The financial support that has now been provided enables the class to implement these goals even more effectively.
"Thanks to the donated funds, we were able to equip the class with modern digital technology at short notice, which significantly enriches both the lessons and the educational work," explains Julia Molter, project manager and vice principal of the school. "This support shows how important it is to invest in young people's education. It is a big step towards preparing our pupils for the future in the best possible way."
During his visit, Joachim Busch emphasized how important it is to support young people on their path: "The KoA class does valuable work to open up new perspectives for pupils. We, the Harald Fissler Foundation, are delighted to be part of this project."
The pupils in the KoA class and the entire team at the Realschule plus would like to thank the sponsors and look to the future with optimism. With the new equipment and the additional opportunities, the class is ideally positioned to achieve its important educational goals.
