REVISION Jewelry Exhibition: Between Tradition and Innovation
The exhibition “REVISION: Between Tradition and Innovation” presents a unique blend of historical costume jewelry and modern design. As part of the project, students from five European universities have transformed Art Nouveau and Art Deco costume jewelry into contemporary fashion accessories (Technical University of Liberec, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, and Trier University of Applied Sciences in Idar-Oberstein).
The exhibition showcases bold prototypes that blend traditional craftsmanship with new materials and the personal stories of the creators. Discover how the younger generation is breathing new life into both museum collections and the industry. The exhibition will open on June 25, 2026, at Villa Bengel in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. The exhibition will be on view there through September 25, 2026, and will then continue at the State Museum of Glass and Costume Jewelry in Jablonec nad Nisou (Czech Republic) starting October 22, 2026.
The exhibitions can be visited during the opening hours of the Jakob Bengel Industrial Heritage Site. For more information, please visit our website at www.jakob-bengel.de
