Holler My Dear

Funk-Rock-Folk-Jazz

Holler my Dear are six musicians who have never been impressed by stylistic boundaries. Until the pandemic, they were able to enjoy a great deal of resonance and international stage success: the three previous albums by the well-traveled Berliners (by choice) also received a lot of praise outside Germany and the band celebrated roaring parties at festivals and clubs with their "Kraut-Folk". In June 2023, the EP "Aftermath" was released, whose songs, among other things, settle accounts with the (post-)corona mood and explore a more electronic sound aesthetic.

Holler my Dear is now opening the next chapter: The song collection "An Only Me Is A Lonely You", which will be released in March 2024, presents on the one hand a return to the acoustic grandeur of jazzy trumpet and accordion alongside Winkler's extremely variable vocals, which have always been the band's trademark. On the other hand, the sextet has recently ventured into shrewd flirtations with raw funk, soul and rock in the style of the early seventies or in the spirit of the unforgotten Prince. Holler my Dear's highly praised dynamic and live energy is captured on recordings more immediately than ever before and, of course, brought back to the stage from there!

Line-up:
Laura "Laus" Winkler - vocals, keys
Stephen Molchanski - trumpet, vocals, rap, keys
Fabian Koppri - mandolin, mandriola, electric guitar, vocals
Valentin Butt - accordion
Lucas Dietrich - bass
Elena Shams - drums, percussion
