Applying for an extension of a partial building permit
Service description
Planning permission is often required in order to implement a building project. If a building application has been submitted, the start of construction work for the excavation pit and for individual parts or construction phases of the project can be approved on application before the building permit is issued (partial building permit). The permit can be extended upon application.
The extension can be linked to new ancillary provisions by the building supervisory authority.
Procedure
You must apply for an extension in text form to the lower building supervisory authority before the partial building permit expires.
Responsible body
The lower building supervisory authority is responsible for issuing the building permit. This is the district administration, in independent and large towns belonging to the district, the municipal administration or the association municipality administration if it has been assigned building supervision tasks (Diez and Konz association municipality administrations).

Cost amount (variable): from 60.00 euros up to 750.00 euros.
What deadlines do I have to observe?
You must apply for an extension in text form to the lower building supervisory authority before the partial building permit expires (4 years).
