Extension of a temporary driving license for categories C, CE, C1 or C1E
Service description
Your category C, CE, C1 or C1E driving license is valid for a maximum of 5 years. After that, you can apply to extend your driving license for a further 5 years.
Responsible body
The local driving license authority at the city or district administration is responsible.
What documents are required?
- Identity card or passport
- current driver's license
- biometric photo
- Proof of eyesight (not older than 2 years)
- Proof of physical and mental aptitude (not older than 1 year)
What fees apply?
- The fee is based on the scale of fees for road traffic measures (GebOSt).
- If the driver's license is sent directly to your home address, an additional shipping fee will be charged.
