Service description
The extended registration certificate provides information about where you are registered or as proof of your place of residence.
The extended registration certificate contains the following information in addition to the simple registration certificate:
- legal representative, spouse, life partner and minor children each with
- Surname and first names, doctorate Date of birth, address
- Current nationalities
- current addresses, previous addresses in the area of responsibility of the registration authority as well as the address of the last sole residence or main residence and the last secondary residences outside the area of responsibility of the registration authority, identified according to main and secondary residence, in the case of moving in from abroad also the state and the last address in Germany, in the case of moving out abroad also the address abroad and the state
- Move-in date, move-out date and
- Marital status
- Religious affiliation
What documents are required?
- Proof of identity such as identity card or passport
- If applicable, written power of attorney and identity card or passport of the authorized person

Fees may apply. Please contact the competent authority.
Special information for - City of Idar-ObersteinAccording to § 11 Para. 1 LGebG, the fee debt is already incurred upon receipt of your application by the city administration.
The incurrence of the cost debt is therefore not dependent on the performance of the official act, i.e. the provision of information.
