Apply for a parking permit for severely disabled people
Service description
People with severe disabilities may apply for a parking permit under certain conditions. The parking permit allows them to park in areas where parking is not normally permitted.
Eligible individuals may also take advantage of the parking privileges if they are a passenger. A driver's license is not required.
The parking permit, together with the written exemption, serves as proof.
There are two types of parking permits.
Blue parking permit:- Applies throughout Europe
- allows parking in spaces marked with a wheelchair symbol
Orange Parking Permit:
- Applies nationwide
Both parking permits allow parking at the following locations:
- Up to 3 hours in a restricted no-parking zone; applicants may be granted a longer parking time for certain no-parking zones. The arrival time must be indicated on the parking disc.
- under certain conditions in traffic-calmed areas
- up to 3 hours in resident parking spaces
- during loading times in pedestrian zones where loading and unloading are permitted during specific hours
- at parking meters and parking ticket machines, with no fee and no time limit
- within a no-parking zone, even beyond the permitted parking time
- beyond the permitted time in areas where parking is time-limited
