Service descriptionThe list of tasks of a youth welfare office is derived from the general objectives of youth welfare (see § 1 Para. 3 SGB VIII). As a public youth welfare agency ("Jugendhilfe"), the local youth welfare office is responsible for providing services as defined in Chapter 2 of the German Social Code (SGB VIII) and for the so-called "other tasks of youth welfare" (Chapter 3 SGB VIII).
