Service description
Polling assistants are citizens who are entitled to vote and who, on election day, act as election supervisors or assessors in the electoral boards to manage the election process and determine the provisional election result in the electoral district.
Serving on an election committee appointed by the municipal or city administration is an honorary position. Every citizen is obliged to accept this position, which can only be refused for important reasons.
Municipal authorities are entitled to collect and process personal data from you as a person entitled to vote for the purpose of engaging you as an election worker. As the data subject, you can object to the processing for future elections.
Municipal authorities can request information from other authorities about their employees if they live in the municipal area. This involves the surname, first names, date of birth and address. The persons concerned will be informed of this.
They must perform their duties impartially. You must maintain confidentiality about any matters that become known. You must not cover your face while carrying out your duties.
