Service description
Genealogy deals with family relationships. It is not an independent discipline, but is part of the canon of auxiliary historical sciences.
Genealogists can obtain information about their ancestors and descendants from the town archives or do their own research on site.
After expiry of the obligation to maintain the civil status registers
- Birth register 110 years
- Marriage register 80 years
- Death register 30 years
anyone who can demonstrate a legitimate interest has the right to inspect these civil status registers, which are then regarded as public archive material.
