Mayor Frank Frühauf also attended the audition and was impressed by the young musicians' tremendous skills. Waylon and Viktoria You from Birkenfeld, Greta Sophie Merscher from Mittelreidenbach and Leo Wei Lu, Corina Andries, Juno Wilhelmine Grammes, Chiara Lindemann and Elena Turcan from Idar-Oberstein took part from the Birkenfeld district. All of the young artists who entered the competition achieved the required number of points for first place. Jürgen Huppert, head of the jury, was impressed by the young musicians' skills and awarded the highest marks several times. Music teacher Eleonora Gornaia, who teaches almost all of the prizewinners, was also delighted with the successful performances. This year's event was once again financially supported by Kreissparkasse Birkenfeld.
Mayor Frühauf was impressed by the participants' performances and said: "The regional Jugend musiziert competition is an impressive demonstration of the musical talent that is growing up in our city. The young musicians showed great discipline, creativity and passion. Their achievements deserve the highest recognition - they are not only a personal success, but also a figurehead for our vibrant musical and educational landscape.
