To kick things off, Anita Reichardt invites you to the ceramics workshop at JAM. Here, participants can experiment with clay and create their own works of art. A two-day poetry slam workshop with Claudia Stump also takes place at the Jugendtreff am Markt. In a creative atmosphere, participants create their own texts and hone their performance. At the end, the participants present their work to parents and friends.
Nicol Wolter offers a relaxed combination of yoga, dance and mindfulness at the Soma'Raya yoga studio for those who like things a little quieter. Ideal for switching off on vacation. A trip to Jump House Saarbrücken, on the other hand, promises much more action. Here, participants can expect a day full of trampolining, courses and fun.
A proven highlight this year is once again "Popcorn in the cornfield", the children's and youth film tour organized by medien.rlp. After an exciting guided tour of the Jakob Bengel industrial monument, the children go to the municipal theater to watch a film together - with popcorn, of course.
The donkey hike with Sabrina Wayand from "Esel und maehr" through the idyllic Antestal valley near Schmidthachenbach is also a special experience. After the hike, an autumnal craft activity and a cozy campfire await.
Strong in everyday life: two offers are dedicated to the topic of self-confidence and inner strength. In the kickboxing workshop for girls and queer young people at the women's emergency hotline, participants not only learn techniques, but also how to present themselves with confidence. The workshop "Your statement - courageous and strong in everyday life" teaches participants how to say "no" clearly, express their own opinion and feel confident in various everyday situations, with lots of practical exercises.
The Lego city of the Evangelische Christusgemeinde is also taking part again this year. Over four days, the children build a huge city out of thousands of Lego bricks. At the end, the impressive structure is ceremoniously presented during a family church service.
- All offers can be booked individually so that families can flexibly choose what suits them best. Detailed information on dates, times, costs and registration is available from the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office at jugendtreff@idar-oberstein.de and online at idar-oberstein.ferienprogramm-online.de or on Instagram at @jugend_io.
