City administration of Idar-Oberstein
Wild boars caused considerable damage to the old Idar cemetery in Tiefensteiner Straße at the beginning of this week. The animals not only churned up lawns, but also tampered with some graves. An electric fence was installed at the old cemetery in 2018. However, the black coats have entered the area through cemetery gates that were left open. The cemetery administration therefore urgently appeals to visitors to keep the cemetery gates closed.
