On Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21, 2025, the Musical-Kids will present the new edition of the play "SOS an Planet Pummerpuffer" at the Idar-Oberstein Municipal Theater. The family performances start at 3 pm each day. The Musical-Kids are actively supported by the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office.
"SOS an Planet Pummerpuffer" is one of the musical kids' first own pieces from 2003 and was completely restaged in 2025. In addition to the well-known songs from back then, there are now new songs and dances to see and hear. Around 50 acting kids, dancing kids and backing singers are on stage and will captivate the audience for two hours.
The play is about an unknown flying object that lands on Earth. The occupants, four Skruperians, have bad things in mind: they rob the earth of all its colors and thus all its joy of life. Life on Earth becomes gray and gloomy. Four human children want to try to save the Earth and send a call for help into space. And indeed, as if by a miracle, they are heard by Planet Pummerpuffer. The cheerful and energetic inhabitants of Pummerpuffer immediately send the brave Bobby and the electric pig OinkOink to Earth to see what's going on. But the mission is not going to be easy.
