Following the changeover to the new state-wide specialist procedure for vehicle registration, there are unfortunately currently massive technical problems. This is also affecting other registration offices in Rhineland-Palatinate. As a result, the Idar-Oberstein city administration office is currently only able to issue a small number of appointments for vehicle registration and processing is taking longer than normal. As the system is not stable, it may even be the case that vehicles cannot be registered or deregistered during the booked appointments.
The city administration asks affected citizens for their understanding, especially as it is not responsible for the reasons for the disruption or is unable to rectify them.
