The trained plumber and gas and water fitter joined Bauhilfe GmbH on May 1, 1989. Since then, Peter Dumke has taken care of minor repairs in the apartments, the coordination, monitoring and control of maintenance and modernization measures as well as the acceptance of tenant changes. Dumke has always been in direct contact with the tenants and tries to deal with their concerns quickly and efficiently. His sound professional training and years of experience stood him in good stead. After a varied professional life, Dumke is now embarking on a new chapter in his life.
"Peter Dumke was the longest-serving employee at Bauhilfe to date," explained Gunter Heyderich. He paid tribute to the decades of outstanding work of the future pensioner, "it was always characterized by extraordinary commitment and great loyalty." He thanked Dumke for the good cooperation and wished him all the best for the new phase of his life. Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf also joined in the thanks and good wishes. By virtue of his office, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bauhilfe GmbH, in which the city of Idar-Oberstein holds 93.4 percent of the shares and KSG Birkenfeld 6.6 percent. With around 500 apartments, Bauhilfe is one of the largest landlords in the city alongside OBG. "With his work, Peter Dumke has made a significant contribution to the satisfaction of the numerous tenants and has always identified with the company," emphasized the Lord Mayor.
