In a small ceremony, Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf, colleagues and staff representatives congratulated the head of the daycare center social work team on this special day.
After completing a pre-study internship and being hired as a professional trainee on her way to becoming a state-approved educator, Juliane Groß was hired as an educator by the Idar-Oberstein municipal administration on 1 August 1986. During her long period of service, she worked with children of all ages. She initially worked in the day nursery at the Idar market school and took over the management of the crèche there from 2004, before being appointed overall manager of the Nahbollenbach day nursery in February 2010. In June 2021, Groß took over the management of the newly installed daycare social work team. On the one hand, this involves offering low-threshold advice for families in need of support, but also developing family education measures.
"Over the many years, I have always enjoyed working with children of different ages as well as their parents and have always enjoyed working for the city administration," says Juliane Groß, looking back on her 40 years of service.
Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf thanked the jubilarian "for her many years of special commitment to the youngest in the city and, above all, for actively shaping the major changes in the daycare landscape for the city of Idar-Oberstein. We are therefore well positioned for the future in Idar-Oberstein," continued the Lord Mayor. Katrin Schwarz, Deputy Head of the Youth Welfare Office, praised Juliane Groß as a very reliable and mediating colleague with a good human touch.
Mayor Frühauf thanked the jubilarian for her commitment and hard work with a certificate from the Minister President and a few gifts and wished her all the best for her future career and life. Colleagues and staff representatives were happy to join in the thanks and good wishes.
