Citizens' office - cancel appointments that are not required

It is necessary to make an appointment in advance to carry out administrative business in the Citizens' Office with the vehicle registration and residents' registration departments. There are currently slightly longer waiting times again. This is partly due to the fact that booked appointments that cannot be kept due to illness or other reasons are not being canceled by those affected. According to an analysis of the data, this affects an average of 10 to 20 percent of appointments over the course of a week. These then expire and cannot be allocated to other people.

If, on the other hand, appointments that are not required are canceled in good time, they are released again by the system. This is why appointments are always available at short notice in the online appointment calendar. The administration therefore appeals to citizens to cancel appointments that are not required so that they can be used by other people.

Appointments for the citizens' office can be made online via the municipal homepage www.idar-oberstein.de or by telephone on 06781/64-3800.
