Thanks to support from the "OIE zieht an" campaign, the Idar-Oberstein youth fire department was able to enjoy new equipment: modern shorts were purchased for the junior firefighters. The new pants ensure greater comfort and freedom of movement, especially during exercises and events in the warmer months.
"We are very grateful for the support from the OIE. The new shorts are very popular with our more than 50 young people and supervisors and make training in the summer much easier. With the new equipment, the youth fire department is not only functional, but also uniformly and modernly dressed," emphasized Bernd Rothenberger, head of the town's youth fire brigade.
