Two badly damaged doors in the municipal parking garage "Stadttheater" in the immediate vicinity of the historic old town of Oberstein shine in new splendor. The formerly faded and vandalism-damaged door surfaces were redesigned as part of a comprehensive decal application.
For tourists in particular, who use the parking garage as a starting point for their visit to the old town, the doors are their first impression of the city. "A well-maintained and inviting appearance contributes to a positive perception - both for visitors and locals," says Caroline Pehlke from the city's business development department.
The measure was made possible by the federal funding program "Sustainable inner cities and centers", which aims to make inner city areas more attractive and liveable. The stickers not only remedied a visual deficiency - they also symbolize the city's commitment to further improving the quality of life in central locations.
