As part of his company visits, Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf and the city's business development department visited Kentix GmbH in May, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The company, which is based in the Nahetal business park, specializes in the development of security solutions for the physical monitoring of digital infrastructures.
At Kentix, everything revolves around the topic of security. Especially in the current times with their diverse threat scenarios, constant further development in this area is essential. "Our goal is to make physical security in the digital world a seamless and user-friendly experience, so that every company is simply and effectively protected against outages and losses," says the company website.
The tour of the new premises next to the existing building not only gave guests an insight into the company's innovative security solutions, but also into the modern corporate culture and social commitment on site. Kentix works closely with Lebenshilfe Obere Nahe, and some products are pre-produced in their workshops. Managing Director and company founder Thomas Fritz is convinced by the concept: "We are more than satisfied with the results and accuracy." Even more intensive collaboration is planned for next year, including as part of an inclusion program that will see employees from both facilities working together.
Kentix also focuses on an employee-friendly corporate culture. Monthly team training sessions, a newly created common room with modern equipment and an open approach characterize everyday working life. "The job market is highly competitive. This makes it all the more important that our almost 50 employees feel comfortable and have places to meet and relax," says Fritz.
The company also reacts flexibly to changes in the market. Sales have increasingly shifted to the digital space in recent years. "We have switched heavily to eCommerce and many purchases and sales are now made exclusively online," reports the Managing Director. Nevertheless, he emphasizes the importance of personal customer contact: "Once the customers are here, it works really well."
Mayor Frühauf was impressed by Fritz's entrepreneurial thinking and actions as well as his clear commitment to the location. "Kentix is an example of the technological innovative strength and industry diversity in Idar-Oberstein," said the mayor. He thanked Thomas Fritz and his team for the open insights and is looking forward to the company's further development.
