The circus camp is one of the most popular activities in the 'Where to go on vacation? The places are regularly fully booked in no time at all. This is because the project week offers participants exciting and varied workshops and the opportunity to learn new things, experience their own limits and overcome them. "We attach great importance to both an attractive programme and qualified educational support," explain Sabine Moser and Sebastian Herzig, who are responsible for organizing the vacation programme. In order to meet this requirement, a team of 22 supervisors and seven educational specialists look after the 80 or so children. Five of the current supervisors used to take part in the circus camps themselves.
Mayor Frühauf was full of praise for this special vacation event. "This is an excellent program and I would like to thank the entire team for their great commitment." He also thanked Kreissparkasse Birkenfeld for its many years of support for the circus camp. This year, in addition to sponsoring 2,600 euros, KSK also provided drinking bottles for the children. "We are always happy to support such great projects for children and young people," emphasized CEO Torsten Rothfuchs.
