Thanks to a donation worth 1,500 euros from the 'Kind für Kinder' association, the International Federation (IB) is able to give the children it looks after as part of its 'Outpatient Educational Support' program a wonderful Christmas. To this end, the IB staff provided an individual gift for each of the 39 children and they were also allowed to choose a cuddly toy.
"Christmas is a time when we pause to think about those who need our support the most. That's why we want to give a gift to children in need and show them that they are not forgotten," said Vanessa Hess, CEO of 'Kind für Kinder', explaining the intention behind the donation. Her children and Katja Heidrich, Head of Administration at IB Südwest gGmbH in Idar-Oberstein, are friends. This gave rise to the idea for this wonderful Christmas campaign.
With the money provided by the association, IB employees Katharina Müller and Denise Mayer set off, got a personal gift for each child and wrapped it lovingly. In addition, an adoption station for cuddly toys was set up thanks to toy donations from employees. "Each child can adopt one of the cuddly toys and sign a certificate stating that they will take good care of it," explained Denise Mayer.
When Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf recently visited the IB location, the employees presented him with the prepared gifts. The Lord Mayor recalled that the Children's Aid Fund of the City Youth Welfare Office was once set up thanks to a donation from the 'Children for Children' association. "This great campaign is sure to make children's eyes light up. And that's the most important thing about Christmas," emphasized Frühauf and thanked Vanessa Hess for this valuable support from the IB.
