Nicole Herrmann completed her training as a pool attendant from August 1, 2000, has been a certified master pool attendant since 2006 and has also been the operations manager for the public utility company's pools since January 2020. Together with her colleagues, Herrmann not only looks after the safety of the guests in the Idar-Oberstein indoor pool and the Staden natural pool, but also the functioning of the technical facilities. At the beginning of her career, the Kammerwoog outdoor pool was also still in operation, but was closed in 2006.
Mayor Marx paid tribute to the achievements of the jubilarian over the past 25 years. "That's a long time in which a lot has happened, especially in the pool sector." During this time, the previously conventional Staden outdoor pool was converted into a natural pool and the indoor pool was completely gutted, renovated and extended between 2014 and 2016. Marx thanked Nicole Herrmann for her reliable work. Her responsible tasks include the organization and coordination of pool operations, monitoring the technical facilities and water quality as well as staff management and training. In addition, Herrmann has also been involved in the Stadtwerke staff council on behalf of her colleagues for many years.
Nicole Herrmann still enjoys her work. "There are two very different sides to the job, one is dealing with the pool guests and the other is the technical side. I was able to gain interesting insights here, particularly during the renovation of the indoor pool." This variety is what makes the job so interesting. In addition to Mayor Marx, the two deputy plant managers Kerstin Cullmann and Heinz Marx and the Chairman of the Staff Council Thomas Bartholome also congratulated the jubilarian on her special day. They gladly joined in the thanks and good wishes for the future.
