On 25.03.2026, the City Council of the City of Idar-Oberstein adopted the following amendment to the General Terms and Conditions of Disposal for Wastewater (AEB) of the City of Idar-Oberstein:
In § 10 a Fecal sludge disposal:
(2) The fee for the takeover and disposal of faecal sludge or wastewater is based on the applicable rates of the disposal company commissioned by the city plus an administrative cost surcharge from the municipal utilities. It is made up of
- a basic travel fee,
- a volume charge per m³ or part thereof and
- the costs of any additional services,
Additional services are deemed to be additional expenses that go beyond the usual disposal costs. These will be invoiced separately according to the actual costs incurred by the contractor commissioned. This includes in particular
- Difficulty surcharges for suction lines longer than 20 meters,
- Waiting times for which the property owner is responsible,
- additional rinsing or cleaning work for heavily solidified residues and
- Operating costs for special equipment required if access to the system is restricted.
The applicable billing rates for quantities, flat rates and additional services can be found in the annex to the "General Terms and Conditions of Disposal for Wastewater (AEB) of the City of Idar-Oberstein", which is part of the disposal contract in its currently valid version.
This amendment comes into force on April 01, 2026.
