2nd Amendment Statutes

dated 30.06.2025
to amend the main statutes of the city of Idar-Oberstein dated 30.08.2024

On June 25, 2025, the City Council adopted the following bylaws on the basis of Sections 24 and 25 of the Municipal Code (GemO):

Article 1

§ Section 6 (1) is amended as follows:

(1) To cover necessary cash expenses and other personal expenses, members of the City Council shall receive compensation for attending meetings of the City Council and as participating members of the bodies referred to in § 8 para. 1 in accordance with paragraphs 2 to 6.

Article 2

§ Section 7 is amended as follows:

The Chairperson of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration and the Inclusion Advisory Board for People with Disabilities shall receive compensation of €25 per month. This does not apply to the city's electoral officials if they chair the council.

Article 3

§ Section 8 (1) is amended as follows:

(1) An attendance fee of EUR 30 shall be paid:

a) the members of the committees for participation in the committee meetings,
b) the members of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration for participation in the Advisory Board meetings,
c) the members of the Senior Citizens' Advisory Board for participation in the Senior Citizens' Advisory Board meetings,
d) the members of the Oberstein Castle Advisory Board,
e) the members of the Inclusion Advisory Board for People with Disabilities,
f) the members of the Advisory Board within the framework of inter-municipal cooperation in the area of tourism

Article 4

The amended Articles of Association shall enter into force on the day following their public announcement.
