Exhibition opening: Nioosha Vaezzadeh - Chidimma Omeke

We are pleased to invite you to the vernissage of the duo exhibition by Nioosha Vaezzadeh and Chidimma Omeke as part of the exhibition program Idar-Oberstein schmückt sich:

Thursday, April 10, 2025, 6:30 pm at Villa Bengel and via livestream (Instagram: jakobbengel), with a welcoming address by Peter Wenzel and an introduction by Prof. Theo Smeets.

The Iranian artist and the Nigerian artist will be presenting the results of their Master's studies at the Gemstone and Jewelry Campus. All of their works resonate with their respective cultural roots, rituals and the social situation in their home countries: Nioosha's works deal with the position of women in Islamic society; Chidimma's works deal with masquerade and identity; his thesis redefines jewelry as an extension of the mask.
