Childcare worker (m/f/d) is a heartfelt profession: diverse, exciting and enriching. In seven daycare centers run by the city of Idar-Oberstein, children are not only cared for, but also supported in their daily learning and encouraged in their individual strengths.
WHAT ARE MY TASKS?
- Shaping educational transitions: They accompany children through important developmental phases and ensure that transitions (e.g. from kindergarten to school) are mastered with confidence and security.
- Promoting individual strengths: You recognize the unique talents of each child and support them in developing their full potential - with appreciation and respect.
- Shaping democracy and participation: In the children's group, you create democratic structures in which every child is heard and can actively participate. They promote cooperation and strengthen a sense of responsibility.
- Role model function and inclusive attitude: As an educator (m/f/d), you are not only a learning companion (m/f/d), but also a role model. With your open, inclusive attitude, you show the children how important diversity and mutual respect are.
- Shaping the future: You have a direct influence on the development and future of children. Through your daily work, you make a valuable contribution to ensuring that every child grows up to be a self-confident, responsible and empathetic person.
WHAT CAN I EARN?
Your salary is based on the collective agreement for the public sector for employees in the social and educational services (TVöD SuE). As an educator (m/f/d) you will be paid according to S8a.

With a few years of professional experience, you can take on management responsibility for a daycare center in a management or deputy management role. We also offer further qualification opportunities in Idar-Oberstein.

WHO CAN STILL WORK IN A DAYCARE CENTER?
In addition to state-approved educators (m/f/d), we can also employ other professional groups as specialists in a daycare center. This is regulated in the Specialist Agreement for Day Care Centers for Children in Rhineland-Palatinate.

COMPLETED PEDAGOGICAL TRAINING
