The Cuchufleta theater company was founded six years ago out of a desire to bring more imagination into public spaces through the power of theater. Their work stems from the conviction that theater can take place not only on stage, but also in the midst of life: on streets, squares and in direct encounters with people. Cuchufleta creates worlds that invite us to dream. She moves between embodied phantasms and messages that inspire contemplation. Her stories awaken the dormant possibilities in the audience and invite the imagination to dance.

Cuchufleta means "joke" or "mischief" - and it is precisely this playful element that characterizes the company's signature style. The plays and walk-acts combine humor, poetry and fantasy with a keen sense of reality. Behind the lightness, there is always a second level that encourages reflection and touches on social issues with a wink.
