Children and parents were able to get active together at numerous hands-on stations: there were crafts, painting, smelling, feeling, listening, throwing and brushing teeth on a model. The young visitors learned in a playful way how important exercise, healthy eating and dental care are - and that health can also be really fun.
The event was organized by the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office, supported by the AOK health insurance company, the youth dental care service and dedicated municipal employees from the daycare centre social work, school social work and the socio-educational family support service. Together, they ensured a varied afternoon that delighted children and adults alike.
The family activity afternoon ended with many colorful impressions, new insights and happy faces - a successful example of how shared experiences can strengthen health and togetherness.
