After welcoming the 20 or so participants by Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf and Karl-Heinz Totz, Chairman of the Seniors' Advisory Council, Klaus Juchem explained the course of the game and divided up the teams. After the first round, even the newcomers had understood the easy-to-learn ball game and were looking forward to the next two rounds with newly drawn teams.
During and after the rounds, the participants were well looked after with drinks and sausages by Wolfang Lambio and Horst Schäfer from Idarer TV. As a small thank you, they and the best player, Marlene Mayer, received a gift of sparkling wine. At the subsequent get-together, everyone agreed that this successful event should be repeated and then advertised more intensively, especially at the various senior citizens' facilities.
