Voting by postal vote
Applications for postal voting can only be submitted online until Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 12 noon. If eligible voters do not receive their requested postal voting documents, they can contact the Idar-Oberstein city administration's electoral office by Friday, February 21, 2025, at 3 pm. They can still apply for a postal vote there until then and even vote directly if necessary. In order for them to be included in the vote count, the completed postal voting documents must be returned to the city administration by Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the latest. It is not possible to hand in red ballot papers at polling stations. However, these can be handed in to the city administration or to the postal voting offices at Messe Idar-Oberstein by 6 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
