What is forbidden on the Easter holidays?

The following regulations apply on these days in accordance with the state law on the protection of Sundays and public holidays, the State Public Holidays Act:

Public gatherings, processions and parades, insofar as they do not serve the practice of religion or correspond to the character of the holiday, as well as all public events and performances for entertainment purposes that are not adapted to the character of the holiday, are prohibited on Good Friday, April 18, 2025) from 04:00 am.
Public sporting or gymnastic events are prohibited on Good Friday, April 18, 2025 and on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025 as well as on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025, in each case until 13:00.
Public dancing events are prohibited from Maundy Thursday, April 17, 2025, 4.00 a.m. to Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, 4.00 p.m.

  •  The Public Order Office would like to point out that a violation of the provisions of the State Holiday Act constitutes an administrative offense that can be punished with a fine.
